Hi, I'm Jan.
I'm an IT guy through and through – a system engineer and tech lover.
What matters most in my life, though, is people: my partner and my friends. They're home to me, wherever in the world I happen to be. Good food, long talks (I talk a lot, really), music, spontaneous adventures, evenings in a beer garden or at a board game night. For them, I'm always in range. 🫶
What else? When the pager goes off, I grab my helmet: since 2023 I've been with the Stützpunktfeuerwehr Wallisellen – we cover the town, parts of the motorway and the railway line. Whenever I can, I'm out exploring the world, ideally with my people – 31 of 195 countries so far. Eastern Europe has a special pull on me: I'm an Eastern Europe connaisseur – I love the vibe, the architecture and the rawness, from Budapest to Warsaw. And back home, a cat is waiting for me. 🐈
I like my world colourful – openness and diversity matter to me. 🏳️🌈
On the side I build small apps like MomentCards and Traveli – usually because I need something that doesn't exist yet.
