In short: MomentCards collects no data. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone. No account, no ads, no tracking and no connection to any server of mine.

This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What the app processes
The app only processes data you enter yourself and stores it locally on your device:
- Cards: title, emoji, date/time, colors, background, goals and reminder settings.
- Photos: when you pick a background photo, the iOS photo picker opens. The app receives only the one photo you chose – no access to your library – and stores a resized copy locally.
- Settings: e.g. reminder time and sort order.
The data lives in an app container on your iPhone that the app shares with its widgets. There is no sync via iCloud or any other service. Deleting the app deletes all data.
No sharing with third parties
MomentCards contains no code that sends data to the internet and no third-party SDKs (no analytics, advertising or crash reporting tools).
Notifications and Live Activities
Reminders are scheduled locally on the device; iOS asks for your permission once. Live Activities are also started locally, without a push server.
Emoji suggestions (Apple Intelligence)
On devices with Apple Intelligence the app suggests emojis for a card title. Only the title is passed to Apple’s language model on your device; it does not leave your iPhone.
Sharing and backup
The story image and the JSON backup are created on the device. They only leave your iPhone if you share them yourself via the share sheet – the terms of the service you choose then apply.
Apple, App Store and TestFlight
Apple is responsible for downloads, updates and (optional) crash reports. If you test the app via TestFlight, Apple provides me with information such as your email address (if invited), device type and feedback you send. Details: Apple Privacy Policy.
Your rights
As I receive no data about you, there is nothing to access or delete on my side. For questions about this or about TestFlight data, just email me.
Changes
If something changes that affects privacy (e.g. iCloud sync or in-app purchases), I will update this policy before releasing the update.
